"The first of my kind," that's what the colleague from marketing calls me, because I was the first apprentice at feno. He asked me to share my thoughts about my recently completed training as an electronics technician for devices and systems, because we would like to hire new apprentices.
"Let's focus on what you enjoy the most"
When I listen to my circle of friends, it becomes clear to me that many apprenticeships and also the job afterward mostly consist of working through the same tasks. Not at all for me. My department head said to me on the first day: "Try out everything you want. Ask anyone if you're interested in something. And once you have an overview, we'll focus on what you enjoy the most." That's exactly how it was. I gained a deeper understanding of components, programs and measurements, and I enjoy things like manual assembly, soldering and assembly the most.
Always something exciting to discover
My trainer and the company have had my back, and even now after being hired, I'm constantly learning here. I get along with everyone really well, everyone talks to me at eye level. And I've also become more confident because I can stay here and have interesting work for the coming years. So if you're looking for training and work where you never stop learning: We'll see you at feno.
