CALE, the new pioneering control unit, allows cars to interact with other road users. Our vision: when light speaks, automobiles communicate and converse with their surroundings – a communication breakthrough.
That’s exactly why we developed CALE (CAN Lighting Ecu). This control unit for lighting applications individually addresses intelligent LEDs via CAN protocol and use multi-messages to enable universal lighting scenarios. It has an integrated 8–32-volt power supply and supplies up to 8 amps to operate 200 ISELED LEDs. CALE uses subnetworks to quickly address more than 30,000 LED positions in the entire CAN network. This provides great freedom in creating lighting functions in the automotive environment, with maximum data stability and simple integration into the vehicles on-board network. We use CALE together with our flexible LED strips to implement sophisticated design ideas and concepts.
